SOUTH AFRICA GETS ONE POINT, INDIA LOSES TWO

The first game of the day got off to a tentative start. Both teams sized each other up, with India more in control initially.

India got their first chance on the counter attack. Vakkaliga dribbled his way into the D but could not get his shot away in time. India SPread out in attack with noticably frequent switches of play between Vakkaliga and Tirkey. They did quite the oposite in defense, preventing South Africa from getting a hold.

Khandkar made a nice run, passing to Tirkey who stoop open in the D who was able to shoot the ball into the goal, unchallenged.

Indian stepped it up after the goal in an attempt to widen their lead. South Afrika were unable to keep the Indian attack at bay, neither through long flicks, nor through quick short passes.

Indian were unable to make the most of the few chancs they had, and South Afica found their way back into the game. South Africa won their irst short corner on the second half in the 62nd minute, which Symons guided to the bottom left hand corner of the goal.

The Game was open again, South Africa spured on by their equaliser. Cronje missed a great chance, unable to bring the ball under control in the D, and South Africa's long corners all came to nothing.

India may well have been able to swing the game their way, had they put for pressure on their opponants. However, the match ended in a draw.
